Lauren Dranoff, Founder and Executive Director
Lauren is a singer since birth with professional experience in marketing, development, and logistics. She founded KEYhillah with the mission of growing the Jewish A Cappella community. Her vision to build a network for singers to form groups, grow, and collaborate came from the drive to provide a space for everyone to connect musically and spiritually. She has experienced first hand the imporatance and power of this community. She currently serves as a co-chair of The ChaiLights, Philadelphia’s only post-collegiate Jewish A Cappella group. She is a proud Philadelphia native with a love of arts and helping others.
Cory Hecht, Director of Marketing and Communications
Cory is a graduate of the Aaron Copland School of Music. He sings, writes, arranges, produces, records, manages, and more! An alumnus of Tizmoret, a former member of Shir Soul, and current vocal percussionist for Concrete, he has performed at venues such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, Merkin Hall, Citi Field, and the White House. He performed with American singer-songwriter Josh Groban on Josh’s Summer 2016 tour and can sometimes be seen performing with YouTube-sensation The Maccabeats. He was nominated for “Beatboxer/Vocal Percussionist of the Year” at the 2018 A Cappella Music Awards and won “Outstanding Vocal Percussion” at the International Championship of Collegiate A cappella (ICCA) Quarterfinal in NYC in 2017. In his spare time, Cory enjoys playing billiards, exploring new board games, and finding interesting new places to travel to.
